Prenatal Massage:

Pregnancy Massage:
Pre-natal massage focuses on some of the unique physical needs of the mother-to be. Pregnancy massage is usually done in a side-lying position with plenty of pillows or cushions for support.

Postpartum Therapy
Postpartum massage is designed to help restore the body to it's pre-pregnancy condition and to address the stress of carrying and caring for a newborn. It can speed recovery by bringing relief to sore muscles and helping the mother to relax. Abdominal massage can help shrink the uterus and relieve subcutaneous scar tissue. (See  Swedish or combination service for postpartum therapy rates)

Note: Because of the tremendous physical and hormonal changes that occur in the expectant mother, I do not recommend any massage during the first trimester. This is the time for the mother to get comfortable with being pregnant. The second and third trimesters are wonderful times to begin prenatal massage.
